The 9MW+1MW+40MW PV power generation project is at a place 21km to the southwest of GaotaiCounty,Zhangye City,Gansu. The project at an altitude of 1,500m includes one 110KV booster station and an 110KV transmission line about 25km long. The construction area, which has an average annual sunlight radiation of 6129.96MJ/ m2 and average annual sunshine hour of 3110.5h, is open, flat and easy for capacity expansion. The site is at the east side of G312, enjoying traffic convenience and advantages for tourism development and project demonstration.
This project is a green, low energy-consumption and energy-saving PV power generation project. With a total capacity of 50MW, the project is estimated to deliver 78.25 million KW-HR on average each year. Compared with a thermal power plant of the same capacity, it can be considered that 25,822.5 tons of standard coal can be saved annually (counted on the basis of an average standard coal consumption of 330g/kw·h). Hence the project can cut pollutant emissions, including 360.95 tons of SO2, about 97,500 tons of CO2, 8.35 tons of CO, 372.6 tons of NOX and 436 tons of dust, playing a positive role in air protection, energy-saving, and improving environmental and social benefits.
